• You must be motivated and want to train regularly.

  • You must be confident in yourself and want to improve on the track and in life.

  • You must be confident in your coach, respect him/her and be honest with him/her.

  • You must be confident in the structure of your team and contribute to the development of it. Be proud to do it.

  • Athletes must accept the responsibility of training and competing.

  • You must be inspired to better yourself and never settle for less.

  • Keep a diary on your training.

  • Keep personal statistics on yourself.

  • Don’t do work half-heartedly.

  • Be punctual for training and competition.

  • Don’t waste your time or the time of others in your club.

  • Develop a you and me positive relationship with your coach.

  • Develop a positive, responsible and caring relationship for all team members.

  • Minimize your mistakes on and off the track.

  • Have the courage and heart to succeed.

  • Limit your distractions (Stay Focused).

  • Be a here and now athlete (Take care of the business at hand).

  • Regularly thank God for your athletic gift, trust him to bless it, then go out and display it as he intended.

  • You must maintain good grades and behavior in school.
